Locals have been warned after a man was caught tampering with an electric meter box at a home in Great Yarmouth.
At around 7.30pm on Tuesday, a young man was seen removing the fuses and kicking the wires out of an outdoor meter at a home in Drudge Road.
According to witnesses, he was around 25 years old, six foot tall, of skinny build and wearing a dark trench coat.
He had disconnected the electricity completely and appeared to be "very shocked" to be caught before running away on foot.
Police confirmed the report of criminal damage and said enquiries are under way.
