A country pub, rated the best in Norfolk, has been allowed to keep a bar and function room it opened during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the time, in response to the restrictions on social life, the Kings Arms in Fleggburgh converted a former storage building into a lean-to canopy and bar/function room.
In August 2021, the pub's owner Mark Dixon lodged a retrospective planning application seeking formal approval of the expansion.
That bid has now been approved by planners at Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

The application had faced objections from four neighbours over concerns about noise and the lack of parking on the site leading to "problematic parking" off the site.
But an environmental officer said there was "limited evidence" of previous noise issues at the venue and that members of the public could call for a premises licence review if there were problems.
The pub first submitted the application in August 2021 - with the delay in a decision due to the original proposal also including the erection of boundary fence along the front of the building which raised issues with the Highways Authority.
That part of the application was eventually withdrawn following remedial works to reduce the height of the fence so that planning permission was not required.
