A coastal community will face a period of delays and disruption as a busy main road is closed for work next month. 

Ormesby Road in Caister-on-sea will be partially closed for a resurfacing scheme from March 11 to March 15. 

The work will be carried out in three phases between the junction of Braddock Road to the junction of Second Avenue for just over half a mile.

The first phase will see Ormesby Road closed between Second Avenue to Covent Garden. 

The second closure will be from Covent Garden Road to Branford Road and the third will be from Webster Way to Braddock Road.

It will start at 7am on March 11 and finish at 8pm on March 15.

A diversion will be in place via Norwich Road, Jack Chase Way and Ormesby Road. 

Emergency access will be maintained at all times, with access for residents and business owners provided by site operators.
