How Hill in Ludham, at the heart of the Broads, has launched its 2024 programme of events for adults.

The line-up features a range of activities and experiences, extending from nature and history courses to evening meals, taking place at the landmark thatched house overlooking the River Ant.

There is even the opportunity for wherry sailing.

Director Simon Partridge said: “The popularity of our adult courses is growing since we added en-suite facilities to our bedrooms during the enforced Covid shutdown.

"Our churches and gardens tours were a big success last year, and people love staying at the house with its stunning views and home-made food.

“These courses are a vital income stream for us – but they are also great fun, and we are getting some tremendous feedback from people about the events, and the facilities we now offer.”

The schedule includes a tour of local churches with expert talks, April 8-11, a mid-week public garden tour, May 28-31, a butterfly-filled summer treat, August 23-25, a seven-day wherry sailing experience, August 26 – September 2, an exploration of migrating autumn birds, October 11-13, and festive lessons on the history of Christmas, December 2-5.

There are also special meal nights like an Indian night, April 12, a Mexican night, October 4, and pudding events scheduled for March 1, June 7, September 13 and November 29.

All courses include full board, transport and any entry costs and materials.
