A North Norfolk town is to have its very own World Cup competition this summer.
In hopes to get locals excited for the American tournament and also support local businesses, the Stalham World Cup 2026 competition has been announced.
Each business that enters the free competition will be allocated a World Cup team through a random draw.
Stalham Town Council will promote the businesses through social media channels when the firm's allocated team is playing.
Not only will the business with the winning team be crowned the winner, but they will receive a large replica World Cup trophy engraved with the title and the town council logo which can be displayed for four years.
A spokesperson for Stalham Town Council said: "The Stalham World Cup 2026 is a fantastic opportunity to bring our business community together, celebrate one of the world's biggest sporting events and showcase everything our local businesses have to offer.
"We hope as many businesses as possible will get involved and enjoy the friendly competition while benefiting from additional promotion throughout the tournament."
