Resurfacing work on a footway will be taking place along part of Gorleston seafront for three weeks.

Norfolk County Council will be carrying out the resurfacing and widening of a section of the footway on Lower Esplanade between Porterhouse and the amusement arcade from or around February 19.

The £30,000 work will be carried out between 7.30am to 5pm each day and will take three weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Access to properties within the limits of the works will be maintained but it is inevitable there will be some disruption. The works will require the footway to be closed to pedestrians but an alternative temporary footway will be erected in the road, with accesses off into each business.

Norfolk County Council has apologised in advance for any inconvenience caused by the work, which is being carried out by its community and environmental services department and their contractors.
