Tomorrow a car crusher and automatic number plate recognition machine will be set up in the town's Market Place to promote a clamp down on untaxed vehicles clogging up Yarmouth's roads.

As part of the road tax campaign an untaxed vehicle will be reduced to a cube of crunched up steel in the car crusher.

The borough council, police and DVLA organised event from 10am to 4pm will also remind motorists that it can cost as much as £490 to retrieve any untaxed car that has been towed away.
