NORFOLK'S In Bloom champions are getting ready to put on a colourful show for Christmas.

Villagers in Filby, near Yarmouth, which won this year's Anglia in Bloom best-kept village title, are devising special festive displays for hanging baskets.

Chairman of Filby in Bloom Adrian Thompson said: “The village's response to the novel suggestion of a Christmas display has been superb. As of today, we have commitments to display over 55 baskets and it is still not too late join in. Anybody wishing to decorate their own baskets should give me a call at the post office. We still have plenty available.”

The display will be part of Filby's Christmas festivities when the village will be lit up 5pm-8pm over the weekend of December 13 and 14.
