The air ambulance landed in Ormesby last night following reports a man was suffering with chest pains.
The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at just after 6pm and sent two ambulance crews to the scene.
When the man’s condition worsened the ambulance officer and air ambulance were scrambled.
A spokesman said: “While we were on scene the patient went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing. He was resuscitated and airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.”
Medics were on scene for some two hours until just after 8pm.
