Air rifle mistaken for firearm sparks police incident in Great Yarmouth

Norfolk Police attended an incident in Great Yarmouth after they received reports of a man in possession of a firearm.

A spokesperson for the police said they were called to Havelock Road at 7.05 on Thursday morning but officers found the man had an air rifle rather than a firearm.

Norfolk Police said the man was spoken to and no offences had been committed.
