When is it?

The Haven Great Yarmouth Air Show is being staged on Saturday June 16 and Sunday June 17 with planes flying between 1pm and 5pm both days.

What’s the line-up?

Lots of top-flight planes in the skies with the Red Arrows taking the 3-4pm slot on both days.

Other highlights include The Great War Team on Saturday 2-3pm and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Hurricane and Spitfire) on Sunday 2-3pm. Mix in some nail-biting aerobatics, First World War dog fights and plucky wing walkers there will be something to look up for at most times, and a Lancaster on the first day.

Is it just planes?

Not all the action will be in the air. A Red Arrows simulator is one of the extra attractions being set up along the Golden Mile.

Four beach bars will be popping up between Britannia and Wellington Piers and there will be more than 40 stalls selling food from across the world as well as charity, gift and toy stalls - and all the attractions that Yarmouth always has to offer of course!

Where’s the best viewing spot?

Organisers say the best place to be at the hub of all the action is between the two piers where there is a wide expanse of beach and prom.

But there will also be a few stalls at Gorleston cliffs waiting to cater for people hoping to catch some of the action further south.

What about parking?

The town is likely to be super busy with an estimated 175,000 people milling about.

If you can walk, bike or take public transport the advice is to do so.

Otherwise there are two park-and-rides.

One, for people coming from the south, will be at Beacon Park, Gorleston. Buses will ferry visitors to South Beach Parade in Yarmouth.

The other, for those coming from the north and Norwich, will be at Yarmouth Racecourse. Buses from this site will drop off in Euston Road. People arriving from Norwich will be diverted from Acle via Filby.

Fees range from £10 to £18. Premium parking and park and ride tickets need to be booked in advance by clicking this link.Anything else?
