CHARITY FISHING Organisers of a charity fishing match in tribute to a Caister teenage angler have handed over a cheque to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Keith Hooker organised the event which took place at Snakes Meadow Fisheries, near Great Yarmouth, in memory of Matthew Eckett, which raised an impressive 600. A total of 550 was raised on the day with a further 50 being donated by Ed Wharton, of Winsford Hall Farm. Jessica Hiscocks, EACH community fund-raising cCo-ordinator for North Norfolk and Norwich, said: “We would like to thank Keith, everyone at Snakes Meadow Fisheries and all the anglers who took part and helped to make the event such a success. We rely upon voluntary donations for the majority of our income, so fundraising events like these ensure we are able to continue delivering care and support to life-threatened children and their families.”
