This week’s Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders’ featured pet is Impey. A stunning boy, Impey can be shy with new people and he needs a relaxed home where he can settle into home life at his own pace. Impey loves going for peaceful long walks however he needs an owner who will continue to socialise him with smaller animals. Impey will be a rewarding companion and once he’s confident, Impey is the most happy and cheeky boy. He has spent a short time in a home and proved to be housetrained and well mannered, settled well with the resident greyhound and most enjoyed being in the great outdoors. For more information, or to meet Impey, contact Homefinding co-ordinator Corinne Douglas, on Homefinders’ local rate call number, 0845 458 3797.

Several dogs are still waiting for their forever home, and are currently in the care of the Norfolk and Suffolk Animal Trust

Nellie is a five year old terrier cross. She is very sweet, active, bouncy, affectionate and loving. She was found in a very matted state and an ear that stands out is as she holds it - not a problem! Nellie will make a lovely pet

Seven year old Staffie Beau is vaccinated, chipped and castrated. He has a good temperament and seems okay with other dogs, but no cats. Beau will make a good companion.

Megan, a seven year old female Staffie is very friendly and loves loads of fuss. She has different colour eyes, she also has a small lump, which she’s had for a long time, but vets are not concerned by this. She’s also overweight. Her owner has had to give her up because of his ill health. Megan will make an ideal companion.

Lurcher Rosie just wants someone’s lap to put her head on. She is very loving and sweet-natured and although a bit underweight she will soon gain weight again. She is good with other dogs but cats not be a good idea.

For any information of the above dogs, contact Christine from 9am to 6pm, Tuesday to Sunday, on 01502 740787 or 07803 745541; or Andy on 01493 603798 or 07557 127625.

There is also a mother to five kittens who now needs a home of her own with someone to look after her. She is very friendly black and white cat. To find out more, contact Josie on 01493 844631.

Lots of cats are waiting for homes at the RSPCA East Norfolk branch.

Thames is one of the long stay cats, but is just eight months old. He was dumped when he was just a kitten. He needs a home as the only cat and could happily live indoors. He does suffer with a mouth condition which may mean he needs some treatment from time to time. He deserves to be loved and has been waiting and waiting and no-one will give him a chance.

Chicken is a character, she can be the sweetest little cat and then she just wants to be left alone. An adult home who will not make to many demands on her will help her settle. She would be happiest as the only pet although she had lived in a multi-animal home and this caused her to get even more stressed. She has been waiting for sometime.

Albie is a young shy male cat, he would be happy living with other cats as he has in the past. He is getting more confident every day.

Vader is a very lovely black male cat, still young and very friendly. He would be able to live with another cat.
