Appeal for witnesses to assault

A MAN of 18 was seriously assaulted at Britannia Pier, Great Yarmouth on Sunday, March 8.

The incident occurred at around 2.40am. The 18-year-old victim was outside the Long John's Bar when he became involved in a verbal altercation with another man.

The incident occurred at around 2.40am. The 18-year-old victim was outside the Long John's Bar when he became involved in a verbal altercation with another man. Another man then struck the victim in the face with a glass before making off along the beach towards the promenade where he was detained.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and is currently assisting officers with their investigation.
