POLICE are appealing for information to a burglary which took place in Regent Road, Great Yarmouth, last Thursday. A 72-year-old woman left her property to replace the tax disc in her car when a thief entered her home and stole her handbag, containing diaries, which held important information, keys to her motability scooter and two gold rings belonging to her husband.

A 72-year-old woman left her property to replace the tax disc in her car when a thief entered her home and stole her handbag, containing diaries, which held important information, keys to her motability scooter and two gold rings belonging to her husband.
A man, believed to be the offender, was seen in an alleyway between South Market Road and Regent Road. He is described as white, with dark hair and was wearing a hooded top with horizontal stripes.
DC Kevin Maskell who is leading the investigation commented on the theft saying, “The contents of the victims' handbag were of huge sentimental value to the victim, especially as her husband is very seriously ill, and we would appeal to anyone who has information concerning the theft to come forward.”
