The first incident took place in Wellesley Road at 1.10am on October 31 when a duvet hanging on a bannister was torched.
Later the same morning, a wheelie bin was set alight in a garden at Old Wellington Place at 3.20am and was extinguished by residents.
Police are investigating a possible link linked to an incident in Cerdic Place at around 3.15am on the same morning where rubbish was set alight.
