A MAN was assaulted while smoking at a bus stop in Acle.

Police are appealing for information about the incident in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 34-year-old victim was having a cigarette at the bus stop near the public toilets on The Street when he was assaulted by one or two unknown males at around 12.45am.

He suffered facial injuries.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the assault take place, or anyone with any information about this incident.
