Bingo fundraiser Blanche Gibbs was the centre of attention last night as she received an award in honour of her efforts to support life-saving charities and the Norfolk village she lives in.
She has raised more than £20,000 for good causes by organising regular bingo nights for many years in Ludham, near Yarmouth.
Before her latest charity event last night, Norman Lamb, MP for north Norfolk, presented her with a MP's Heroes award and a party was then held to celebrate her strong community sense.
Money raised from her many bingo nights has helped renovate St Catherine's Church in Ludham and gone towards local voluntary groups and charities and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
