Bin collections have been halted across the borough of Great Yarmouth today following the arrival of the Beast from the East snowfall.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has Tweeted to say its waste and recycling collections due for today have been postponed due to the snow.

The council says it is too dangerous for its 26-tonne fleet of lorries to take to the roads.

The council says bins will be collected once it is safe.
