A motorcyclist who died after colliding with a car on the outskirts of Norwich ten days ago has only last night been formally named by police.
Mark Anthony Bateman died in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital following the crash on October 3.
The 43-year-old, of Rosedale Gardens, Belton, was riding a black Suzuki motorcycle when he struck a black Mercedes on the A146 at the junction with Kirby Road in Bixley, at around 4.05pm on October 3. He later died in hospital over night. His death was the eighth motorcycle death on Norfolk's roads so far this year.
