GREATER Yarmouth Tourist Authority aims to open the door on to some of the borough's forgotten historic or architectural gems to celebrate National Heritage Days from September 10 to 13.

The borough's marketing manager Kirsty Burn wants to hear from anyone with ideas from those living in a heritage building to residents of villages with fine churches.

She would like to know which items of heritage or archeological interest not usually open to the public might be of interest to local people.

This year Yarmouth plans to introduce a range of rarely visited heritage properties on to the national Heritage Open Days stage, from seafront Victorian toilets to drainage mills and town centre cellars.
