BIKEABILITY, cycling proficiency for the 21st century, came to Edward Worlledge Junior School last week and proved to be a huge success. Designed to give the next generation of cyclists the skills and confidence to ride their bicycles on the roads, this group of Year 6 pupils passed with flying colours. The most important aspect of the training involved being safe - fear of traffic is one of the main reasons why people don't cycle! The training also included bike control, assessing the traffic, communication and road positioning. The session proved to be so successful and popular that another group of children are booked in to take part in this scheme at the end of this month.
