Arsonists setting bins alight has become a constant problem for fire fighters who were called out to deal with this blaze.
The local resident who took the photograph said: “One of the reasons that this fire was so big was that there were rubbish bags dumped alongside the wheelie bins - this is a problem that occurs when people leave bins out all the time.
“Since the introduction of the wheelie bins this area has gone downhill with more rubbish on the streets.”
A campaign was launched by the borough council last year to crack down on residents leaving bins on the street outside collection times.
