POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked assault on an 18 year old woman at the Long John Bar, Britannia Pier, in Great Yarmouth.

The attack happened at around 2.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked assault on an 18 year old woman at the Long John Bar, Britannia Pier, in Great Yarmouth.

The attack happened at around 2.50am on Sunday.

The victim was celebrating her 18th birthday and was on the dance floor when she was approached by another woman who punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground and then kicked her several times.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the offence or has information in relation to the offender.
