Police in Great Yarmouth have investigated a suspect package by a popular town centre park.
Officers went to Alexandra Road by St George’s Park at about 1.20pm today and inspected a holdall that had been left in a bicycle rack shed.
The bag was found to contain a blanket and after being inspected was left by the police.
Great Yarmouth Police had tweeted about the incident saying: “Police attend suspicious package on Alexandra Road - it transpires that someone left their blanket in a bag.. no concerns found.”
The Tweet was from Great Yarmouth Police Station’s team four shift, which earlier in the morning arrested a man wanted on drugs possession in Albion Road.
