TWO of the Bloaters' greatest supporters were given a big thank you on Saturday night with a party in their honour.

Wally and Liz Giles together have supported and worked for the club for a combined total of 130 years and friends and family gathered to join in the celebration in Legends Sports Bar at Great Yarmouth Town FC's Wellesley Road ground.

A cheque presentation was made by Arthur Fisk, along with a very special Workforce Certificate from the Football Association in appreciation of all their years of dedicated work at grassroots level. Both Wally and Liz have both already been honoured in the past by the club with the award of life memberships.

Liz has for many years made cakes for match day hospitality and for other people's special occasions, but this time she was the recipient of a cleverly designed culinary creation.

Wally enjoyed catching up with old friends in some of his favourite past players including Keith Franklin, Neil Hart, and Steve Rushbrook.
