Bogus caller warning

POLICE have warned residents to be vigilant after a bogus worker called at a house in York Road, Great Yarmouth today.

A woman, claiming to be from British Gas, said she wanted to read the meter at the property.

POLICE have warned residents to be vigilant after a bogus worker called at a house in York Road, Great Yarmouth today.

A woman, claiming to be from British Gas, said she wanted to read the meter at the property. However, the owner of the property was not a British Gas customer and refused.

The woman called at the house at round 3.40pm and is described as white, 5ft 2ins, aged between 40 and 50 with ginger hair in pony tail. She was wearing black shoes, black trousers and a navy jacket.
