Staff at a Gorleston skip hire company are up in arms over a consumer television programme on rogue traders.
Manager of Church Road-based E E Green, Steve Lee said: “The Watchdog programme named a local concern which has a similar name to ourselves. I have 25 employees here and we are all hopping mad. I've had a number of phone calls this week from customers asking if it was us and I have given them an emphatic 'no'.”
He added: “People do seem to have understood it is not us and as far as I know we have not lost any trade but it's no laughing matter when your livelihood depends on the trust of your customers. This company has been here for over 100 years and has an excellent reputation. I will be contacting the programme to make a clarifying.”
