THE whole school celebrated Book Week at Wroughton Junior. Throughout the week, staff and invited guests read out their favorite stories to the children. The week culminated in a fantastic array of children dressed as their favorite book characters. The winners are pictured with deputy headteacher Graham Gibbins and Trish Thompson, headteacher from Wroughton Infant School, who popped came over to judge the costumes and read aloud to some of her former pupils. Year 6 pupils held a competition to design a book jacket for their favorite book. Head of literacy, Fiona Uebergang, said: “The whole school got behind book week and had great fun listening to stories old and new. We were particularly impressed with the children's costumes and the support we had from parents.”
