THERE'S a literary flavour to Great Yarmouth's summer late-opening nights thanks to a series of appearances by popular writers.

Books Inside is holding the author events to coincide with the extended opening hours on Wednesdays through the peak holiday season.

Books Inside is holding the author events to coincide with the extended opening hours on Wednesdays through the peak holiday season.

“Summer Wednesdays” will see town centre traders staying open until 8pm from July 22 to August 26.

The book shop, in Market Gates Shopping Centre, will be hosting author signings on each of the six Wednesdays from 7 to 8pm. They are:

July 22 - June and Alwyn Crawshaw: A talk and signing with the couple, who live at Hickling and are known for their watercolour paintings and television series.

July 29 - Richard Felix: The paranormal expert will being giving a talk about his experiences and theories. A range of his ghost DVDs will be on sale at the event.

August 5 - Martin Bowman: The world-renowned aerial photographer, who lives in Norwich, will sign copies of his book, Air War in East Anglia.

August 12 - Rosie Goodwin: Rosie has achieved international fame continuing the Catherine Cookson sagas. She has penned classics from the Tilly Trotter and Mallen series and is one of the top 250 borrowed authors in Britain's libraries.

August 19 - Pamela Brooks: The Norwich-based author will be signing copies of her books, Norfolk Ghosts and Legends and Norfolk Poisoners.

August 26 -Herbie Hide: The twice world heavyweight boxing champion (pictured) is signing copies of his autobiography, Nothing But Trouble.
