Heads will be bowed and silence will fall across the borough as the nation pays its respects to the fallen.
A host of poignant services will take place this week to honour the men and woman who died serving their country.
In Great Yarmouth, the colourful East Norfolk Militia will form a guard of honour and parade in the annual Festival of Remembrance on November 12.
Together with the Winterton Marine Cadets and the Norfolk Fellowship Band of the Salvation Army, this will be the largest festival since it began in 2014.
The service will again see hundreds of poppies flutter down from the roof during the moving two minutes’ silence.
Profits from the event will go to the Royal British Legion and the Salvation Army.
Performances are at 2pm and 4.30pm and some tickets are still available, including balcony seats.
