Caister Bowls Club celebrates 50th birthday with special visit

Caister Bowls Club have welcomed special visitors as part of their golden anniversary celebrations.
The presidential team of Bowls England visited the club at the King George V playing field for an honorary match to mark the occasion.
The team was comprised of all the senior executives of Bowls England and other bowlers who had been past presidents or secretaries of their counties.
Together, the team had travelled from fourteen different counties - including Devon, Lancashire and the Isle of White - to pay tribute to the club’s achievement.
The match resulted in an honourable draw, 115 shots each.
After the match, the teams enjoyed a meal together at Branford’s Restaurant at The Old Hall Hotel.
Caister Bowls Club welcomes all levels of competitors, from novices to serious competitors and children to senior citizens.
