A Norwich City icon is encouraging people to take part in a British Red Cross cross country run.

Former striker Iwan Roberts has asked people to sign up for the event at Fritton Lake, which will raise money to support the charity’s work helping those living in crisis.

He said: “I am really proud to be supporting the British Red Cross and the run. They are one of the world’s oldest-established charities and help so many people in this country and overseas.

“I hope that people of Norfolk and Suffolk will come along, take part and have a
great time.”

Active Outdoor Sport are teaming up with the British Red Cross to put on the event, which will be comprised of three runs. Participants can choose between a 10k, a half marathon or the all new Canicross - a 10k run with your dog.

The run is on Sunday
March 25 and entry ranges
from £20-£25.

To sign up, visit www.frittonlakeoc.co.uk/xc-weekend/ or www.redcross.org.uk
