POLICE in Broadland are warning businesses to remain vigilant following reports of a telephone scam operating in the area.
A report was received on Wednesday of a suspicious caller making contact with a business claiming to be from a local police publication. The caller asked for money to produce an advert promoting the business in the publication. The police added that the public should never give their bank details to anyone over the telephone and carry out such requests from unexpected callers. Those who think they have been the victim of such a scam should call 0845 456 4567.
