Motorists heading to Great Yarmouth faced lengthy delays this morning after a lorry broke down on the Acle Straight.
Traffic heading from Norwich had to be diverted via Filby after police closed the Yarmouth bound stretch of the A47 at the Acle roundabout because of safety concerns.
Norfolk Police said the lorry broke down at 6.12am around 500 yards east bound of the roundabout.
Traffic police initially placed cones either side of the vehicle but then opted to close the road as delays began to build up.
The road is expected to cleared this morning.
