The girls were a credit to their pack throughout the parade which saw them join older folk in thinking about why they wore poppies and the sacrifices made for their freedom.

On Friday evening the pack enjoyed a tour of Great Yarmouth Fire Station helping them work towards their fire safety badge. The girls learned about the role of a fire fighter which went beyond rescuing stranded animals. During their visit and while they were clambering about one of the pumps and trying on helmets firefighters were called to a real life shout - adding to the excitement.

Brown Owl said she was grateful to the station for the enjoyable and informative visit. Ist Ormesby Brownies meets at the Bracecamp Hall in Ormesby St Margaret 5.30pm to 7pm on Fridays. New members welcome, just come along.
