A building company has presented a parish council with a £100,000 cheque at the opening of a new housing development.
The cheque was given to Acle Parish Council by Crocus Homes at the phase two opening of their Springfield Grange development, which is comprised of 36 new houses.
The money was awarded to support the council’s continued work in the surrounding areas.
Andy Radford, chairman of Crocus Homes, said: “Our partnership with Acle Parish Council has delivered a great scheme and we are delighted to be working together to invest in the local community.”
Barry Coveley, vice-chairman of the parish council, attended the opening and praised the partnership they had forged with the building company.
He said: “We have been very impressed by this joint venture with Crocus. Working together has always been important to the parish council and it has been great to be involved from day one.”
