A 32-year-old Great Yarmouth man who stole a wide-screen TV from a Yarmouth flat has been jailed for six months.

Gavin Swain, of Stonecutters Way, Great Yarmouth, was sentenced for burglary at Norwich Crown Court on Monday after pleading guilty to the offence at an earlier hearing.

The charge related to an incident which happened on May 9 this year where Swain stole a JVC 32 inch flat screen TV from a flat on Deneside after gaining access through an unlocked door.

Police were called to the incident and Swain was traced from CCTV outside the flats.
