Fire crews responded to reports of a flat fire in Great Yarmouth this morning.
Two crews from Great Yarmouth rushed to Yarmouth Way at around 8am.
An officer at the scene said the safety alert was caused by burnt toast creating a large amount of smoke.
Although they were prepared to go in wearing breathing apparatus firefighters were stood down after a single officer was able to enter the property and make it safe.
A police car was also at the scene.
