Burst pipe leaves homes without water

Up to 100 homes were left without water after a pipe burst in The Street, in Somerleyton.

A spokesman for Essex and Suffolk Water said a resident reported that supplies had been cut at just after 6.

Up to 100 homes were left without water after a pipe burst in The Street, in Somerleyton.

A spokesman for Essex and Suffolk Water said a resident reported that supplies had been cut at just after 6.30pm on Sunday. Engineers shut down the system at about 8pm and completed their repairs by 8.40pm.
