It is a Great Yarmouth based company that specialises in lifting services/products, and offshore scour protection, with many of their products being manufactured at their premises on the Harfeys Industrial Estate.

The objective of the visit was for the students to witness lifting and engineering services undertaken at SSCS Lifting as well as witnessing live destruction tests on various SSCS Lifting manufactured products and learn more about industry and skills required by these industries.

Demonstrations were given with the support of the lifting division manager, Peter Chynoweth and sales manager, Roy Glenister.

The students are currently studying, as part of the BTEC Diploma, a destructive and non-destructive materials module.
