International marine glazing company Trend Marine has appointed Sophie Giffard, pictured, as sales manager for its Superyacht division.
Bringing extensive experience in the marine industry, Sophie joins Norfolk-based Trend as it drives to increase its growing presence in the Superyacht market.
“We’re delighted to have Sophie on board and I’m confident she’ll make an extremely valuable contribution,” said Frank Buckley, managing director. “A good slice of our trade is already with Superyachts but we plan to increase that to 25pc of our business while continuing to develop the rest of our marine glazing market.”
Sophie said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Trend at such a significant time and to take on such an exciting challenge.”
Trend provides specialist glass for Superyachts in Europe, the USA and Far East and serves an extensive global market supplying boat builders with bespoke high quality flat and curved toughened glass for a wide range of windows, doors, roof systems, hull glazing and hatches. Most of its near-200 strong team is based at the company’s Catfield headquarters.
