Great Yarmouth-based Simmons Edeco - a leading supplier of valve, wellhead and asset integrity maintenance and onshore drilling services to the global oil and gas industry, has appointed Gavin Sherwood to the newly-created position of business development manager for Simmons Edeco Europe Limited.
In his role, he oversees all global sales and marketing initiatives for the company’s valve, wellhead and asset integrity maintenance services, which are supplied from its primary European base of operations in Yarmouth.
“Although Simmons Edeco has been supporting major operators in the UK North Sea and Dutch North Sea with valve, wellhead and asset integrity maintenance services for many years, the time is ripe to actively offer them globally,” said Sherwood.
With 26 years in well services, Mr Sherwood understands what operators require when it comes to well integrity. Before joining Simmons Edeco, he worked for 10 years in a variety of well engineering roles with Centrica. He also continues to draw upon the 16 years he worked for the Expro Group during which time he was responsible for managing operations for customers in the UK and overseas.
Originally from Norfolk, Mr Sherwood is based in Yarmouth.
