Staff at the Specsavers store Gorleston are celebrating being awarded Platinum Employer status – just weeks after the branch opened in Lowestoft Road.
The Platinum Employer accreditation means that Specsavers Gorleston has been externally validated as a great place to work by HR specialists Korn Ferry Hay Group.
It means that high standards are being met across a number of different areas of people management; training and development, employee engagement and communications, recruitment and induction, performance management and reward, and talent management.
The mayor of the borough, Kerry Robinson-Payne, was on hand to present the award to the staff and practice manager Roxanne England, who said: “We are delighted to have achieved this accreditation – and to have achieved it so quickly since opening the store.
“It is unusual for a store to achieve it so fast, and really reflects the hard work and dedication of our team.”
