C-MAC MicroTechnology, a world leader in high-reliability electronic systems, modules and components for harsh environments such as extremes of temperature, vibration and shock, announced it has extended its agreement with CISSOID to integrate Vesuvio technology into high temperature DC-DC converter designs.

C-MAC, who operate primarily within the energy, defence, aerospace and automotive sectors, will produce these new products to feature C-MAC's high temperature microcircuit integration technology which has been demonstrated to provide the highest level of reliability for extended temperature applications.

The products will have a particular focus on high reliability, harsh environment applications such as Oil and Gas deep-well drilling. The flexibility of C-MAC's design and manufacturing team will provide the optimum packaging solutions for the module while allowing custom configurations to be offered. These new state-of-the-art modules offer further improvements in efficiency and packaging density and provide multiple output voltages with lifetime operation at 225oC

Paul Hill, General Manager, of C-MAC MicroTechnology said: “The progression along our high temperature DC-DC roadmap demonstrates C-MAC's commitment to continuous product and technology development. I'm delighted with the success of our high temperature product and this announcement shows our complete commitment to high temperature electronics technology and will maintain our position for the foreseeable future as the premier supplier of electronics for extreme environments.”

C-MAC operates a UKAS accredited Test House in Great Yarmouth, where an extensive range of product qualifications, dynamic and climatic tests are performed to internationally recognised standards as well as manufacturing processes and technologies at one of its production site located in the town.
