Lifeboat crews at two independent stations have been given an annual festive boost after they were handed turkeys by Bernard Matthews and Traditional Norfolk Poultry.
In a long running tradition each member of Caister Lifeboat was handed a turkey by Andrew Sherwood, HR director at Bernard Matthews. Paul Garrod, chairman of the station, said: “Thank you very much for Bernard Matthews for the turkeys again.”
The tradition has been going on at least 30 years.
Crews at Hemsby Lifeboat saw Traditional Norfolk Poultry donate birds to them.
Daniel Hurd, from Hemsby Lifeboat, said: “Once again, a brilliant thank you goes out to Traditional Norfolk Poultry with delicious free range Norfolk black turkeys for the whole crew to enjoy over the Christmas period.
“This is now the third year that TNP have supported the lifeboat with their succulent birds and the crew have asked to pass on their thanks and appreciation.”
