THE mayor and mayoress of Great Yarmouth joined cadets of 2356 (Caister) squadron in a service at Caister Church on Sunday to mark the 70th anniversary of the formation of the Air Training Corps as well as the Battle of Britain.
Staff and cadets took part and during the service, which included the lighting of seven candle to mark the 70 years. The service was attended by family and friends and as part of the service cadet Matthew Wright was enrolled as a member of the squadron and the other cadets present renewed their cadet promise. After the service the squadron provided refreshments. At the moment the squadron is recruiting cadets and staff.
