A Caister fish and chip shop is closed for business today after an arsonist set fire to its rear door on Sunday night.
But as John Davis the owner of Doggers Plaice cleared up the mess caused by the arson attack he vowed his restaurant would be open as normal from tomorrow
The arsonist set fire to the rear door of the Ormesby Road building at about 7.25pm yesterday.
Three fire engines from Great Yarmouth were called out to tackle the blaze and fire fighters used a large fan to clear smoke from the kitchen.
Mr Davis said there had been a lot of smoke damage caused and that he needed to order a replacement rear door.
He added that he was annoyed by what had happened but said his business would be back to normal tomorrow.
Following the arson attack Caister police carried out door to door enquiries in the area.
Anyone with information on the arson attack at Doggers Plaice should contact Caister police on 0845 4564567.
