Caister home searched in drugs raids

A MAN and two women have been charged with drugs offences, and two of them with possession of firearms, after police raided houses in Caister, Beccles and Lowestoft.

Homes in Ballygate in Beccles, Herons Close in Oulton Boad, Wenhaston Way in Lowestoft and Halt Road in Caister were searched on July 9 and more than 150 
cannabis plants and five shotguns were found.

Now three people have been charged in connection with the finds.

Brian Reynolds, 56, of Herons Close, Oulton Broad, has been charged with producing cannabis, five counts of possession of a shotgun without a certificate and supplying a class B drug.

Christine Smedley, 65, also of Herons Close, Oulton Broad, has been charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis.

Grizelda Bayliss, 59, of Wenhaston Way, Lowestoft, has been charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis, five counts of possession of a shotgun without a certificate and converting criminal property.

All three have been bailed to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates Court on Monday.
