Year 6 pupils at Caister Junior school took a look behind the scenes at Carrow Road over the last three weeks. As part of their geography studies they visited Norwich City FC to find out how they operate. During their visits they were given a guided tour where they saw behind the scenes and the adjacent Holiday Inn hotel. The pupils learned about the history of Norwich City and the financial set up of the club. They experienced the press room, admired the trophy cabinet, climbed into the large bath in the changing rooms, sat in the dugouts and viewed the ground from various areas around the stadium including the view from one of the hotel bedrooms. One group was lucky enough to see the reserve teams for Norwich City and Ipswich Town warm up for their afternoon kick off. The pupils used their ICT skills to create their own football team kits, with winners receiving prizes from the study centre staff. Some children were lucky enough to visit the club shop return to school with yellow and green souvenirs.
